What to do while waiting for paint to dry….. Ian went to work on Elle!   There was a problem with their toilet pump when Lynn and Shaun left and seeing Ian had some time to kill he took a look at it yesterday, found the problem (impeller), fixed that, then discovered it was also cracked – so today he replaced it.  

I started sanding the companion way ladder while he was busy with that, and then we shared the job when he was done. Then he varnished the ladder, here it is with just one coat of varnish, still a few more to come.

I got stuck in to scraping paint off the stainless steel – some old and, unfortunately, some new!  We didn’t do a good enough job of masking the stantions, etc.  The paint has not set hard yet so it was quite an easy job to get off the new paint; the old paint requires a bit more effort.

Ann gave me two goose eggs today, so dinner tonight is going to be goose egg omelette.
