On the move - a short trip to Knokkebrug and back

After checking the weather forecast for the next few days we decided to just do a day trip to Knokkebrug, to test the engine, and come back to the marina for the weekend which is going to be cold, windy and rainy – it must be Easter!  We set off for Knokkebrug at about 11.00.
Untying the lines

Inching away from the dock

Pulling into the stream

The engine ran sweet as a nut, and quiet as a sleeping baby.  Now we just hear the woosh, woosh of water out the exhaust.  But it looks like we have little mannekin pis stowaway,  actually it is the anti-syphon vent.

Wintry scenes.  It was rather nippy.

The iBoost external directional antenna (wi-fi extender with router, we can connect all our gadgets to the internet at the same time!).  Wonderful invention!

Knokkebrug

After we stopped I made a pot of veggie soup for lunch.
On the way back I finally managed to get a photo of the house with a flower garden on the ridge of the roof. From spring to late summer it is in bloom, now you can just see the spears of the bulbs appearing, they’ll be flowering soon.

Today I bought a new pair of deck shoes

At 6.99 they were a bargain so I went back and got a second pair!

Just beginning to rain.
