A rainy day on the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne

 41 kms, 19 locks, 1 lift bridge, 9 hours.

 Not many places to stop on this canal.  Rained on and off till 5 in the afternoon then the sun came out. No internet here so you will probably only get this tomorrow.  

Two commercial barges passed us in quick succession, we think it is father/son running the boats we have seen them 3 or 4 times before always travelling together

 which churned up so much weed and debris that our engine cooling intake got blocked and in a lock with a low wall Ian had to strip down to a t-shirt and plunge his arm up to the shoulder into the freezing water to clear the inlet.
