A more restful day
After a few long tiring days we decided to take it a bit easier today. We travelled from Langres to Foulain, 25 kms, 14 locks and 1 lift bridge. It took a total of 5 hours, and no hang-ups along the way. It was really cold again this morning, 1.8C so we only started off at 10.15 when it had warmed up to 9C and we moored up at 15.15 when it finally struggled up to 12C. It was rather breezy too.

According to Google Maps there is a boulangerie in this village so I took a walk, in a rather biting cold breeze to check it out for tomorrow morning. But, unfortunately, the boulangerie has closed down since the Google street view car passed by. I wandered through the cemetery just 100m from our mooring. I guess it must be quite old, and there were many very old illegible stones, but what struck me is that they are all family plots, with many members of the same family buried one on top of the other, including some soldiers from WW1.
