With good
internet at Lagarde (and not sure if we’ll find any at all at Port Saint Marie),
we stayed in Lagarde to watch the Formula 1 grand prix, not the most exciting
race I have watched but I was very happy that Bottas won – his first win of
many, I hope.
We took a
short walk in the morning. Lovely
weather.
This is different: a bridge across the canal that goes nowhere! |
At 15.45 we
set off for Lagarde. Again we saw quite
few charter boats today, some more challenging than others.
All under control |
Trying to get it under control |
Clueless and dangerous - came around a corner to fine 2 boats side by side in the middle of the canal - quick avoiding action required |
Not quite under control |
Less than an
hour and half later we arrived at Port Saint Marie where Elle, Lynn and Shaun’s
boat has been stored for the winter. The marina here costs €10/day including water and electricity.
With rain
forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday, Ian thought it best that we take off the big
cockpit cover and put up the bimini for them before they arrive on Tuesday
night. Nothing worse than trying to cope
with a heavy wet boat cover which you then can’t store until it is dry.
No internet
connection here!
