Not much to say today. Ian found a hardware store full of
"toys" so he went shopping - twice!
The first time was for sandpaper and a couple of other things and when
he got back he remembered that he had forgotten to buy paint rollers. The second time he came back withe paint rollers,
a hammer ( to hammer stakes in at places with no bollards) and a new
sander. He has got fed up with sanding
by hand and we still have a whole deck to do.
I went to the supermarket
that was closed yesterday.
Apart from that, sanding,
painting, cleaning away the dust created by the sanding (it gets everywhere,
even into the farthest, most hidden recesses), laundry, cleaning windows.
This evening Lynn and Shaun
invited us for a drink at a bar just over the bridge, and that turned into
dinner at the restaurant next door. Really good meal, schnitzel with the best
chips I have ever had in my life, plus an endive salad. Forgot to take the camera!
