Lesdins to Saint Quentin, 12th April

8.8 km, 5 locks, 1 hour  45 mins
Our mooring for the night, tied to fence posts.
Just a short hop today so we didn’t leave till 10.45.  The temperature was a bearable 10.5C but totally overcast.
It was an uneventful trip (thank goodness, yesterday had enough excitement to last a long time).
Lesdins

We could see inside the lock keepers "office"

An old lock keepers house

The telecommande we were given yesterday.
We tied up at the Porte de Plaisance in Saint Quentin at 12.30.

There is a notice with a number to call to announce your arrival but there is no charge, they just want to know the name of the boat and how long you are going to stay.  They called back a few minutes later to give us the code to the entrance gate.  This is a very secure marina and there is a building which apparently  has showers but  it is all closed up.  We are not sure if this just because of the time of year or if, in fact, there is no longer any authority taking care of the place.  It is owned by the VNF but  I saw somewhere that they are looking for someone to take it over.
We might stay here for a day or two.
