Sens

We potted around today, doing this and that.  First off we took a long ride out into the countryside to a Lidl supermarket to buy meat to make a biggish curry for the four us tonight.  Then I took 2 bags of clothes and bedding to the laundry, and Ian started deconstructing the wooden mast on the boat which is far too high.  He cut a chunk off the bottom, remodelled the top, scraped off all the old varnish and did a bit of sanding – lots more required.
Meanwhile I set about making Pork Vindaloo.  It took all afternoon to marinade in the spices and then cook for a couple of hours.  Fortunately it was rather tasty.
Still overcast and cool this morning, the weather improved throughout the day but ended in a brief thunder storm in the late evening!
There is a family of swans with 7 cygnets, just a day or two old, on the opposite side of the river.  We have watched them all day but unfortunately it is just too far to take to a photo.
Tomorrow I go walk about with my camera!
